I heart attacked my kids' doors today. I'm actually late this year, and typically will do it on the first of the month, buuuut I'm still calling it a win! This cute tradition isn't new or revolutionary by any means. I'm sure you've seen it all over your feeds. But it is something that I've loved doing for my kids the past few years. It's an easy tradition that makes them feel special and brings a big smile to their face each year. And yup, the best part is that it's easy peasy. I whipped these up in an hour while the kids were at school.
SUPPLIES:
-some construction or cardstock paper
-scissors (i used my Silhouette Cameo machine*)
-marker/something to write with
-tape
*call me lazy, but I wanted to get some "perfect" hearts, so I cut them through my Silhouette Cameo, which was a breeze. i'll link the Silhouette file below if you want to use that too!
All I did was cut out hearts from pieces of scrapbook paper I had on hand, then I wrote down things that I love about each child, and taped it to their doors.

Pin this image to save and come back to later if you need to!
And if you're a more visual learner, you can watch this lil reel I put together here showing exactly how I did everything:
Remember: There's no wrong time to do a kind deed or in this case, decorate your kid's door. I did it three days before Valentine's Day, but honestly you could do it any time this month! (or anytime of the year and you'd get the biggest smiles from them, promise. They just want a happy mom who loves them.)
Here's the Silhouette file for cutting the hearts out like I did: Heart Attack File
